  Power feed contacts that we usually used is the cemented carbide, WC as main ingredients, now we according to whether or not to join other carbides can be divided into the following categories:

(1),The material of power feed contacts largest classified as: + WC+CO,YG .It is composed of WC and Co, has high bending strength and the toughness, good thermal conductivity, but poor heat resistance and abrasion resistance, mainly used for processing cast iron and nonferrous metals. Fine grain of YG carbide (such as YG3X, YG6X), in the cobalt content in phase at the same time, its high hardness, wear resistance than YG3, YG6, strength and toughness is a bit poor, suitable for processing hard cast iron, austenitic stainless steel, heat-resistant alloy, hard bronze, etc.

(2), The material of power feed contacts second largest classified as:WC + TiC + Co, YT

because of the hardness of TiC and melting point were higher than the WC, so compared with YG, the hardness, wear resistance and increase red hardness, bonding temperature,  strong oxidation resistance , and will generate TiO 2, at high temperatures may reduce bonding. But the poor performance of thermal conductivity, low bending strength,so it is suitable for machining steel ductile materials.

(3),The material of power feed contacts third-largest classified as:WC + TaC + Co,YA

In YG carbide added TaC (NbC), on the basis of improve the normal temperature, high temperature hardness and strength, resistance to impact and abrasion resistance, can be used in the processing of cast iron and stainless steel.

(4),The materialof power feed contacts fourth largest classified as:WC + TiC TaC + + Co,YW

On the basis of class YT cemented carbide added TaC (NbC), improves the bending strength, impact toughness and wear resistance, high temperature hardness, antioxidant capacity. Can steel processing and processing of cast iron and nonferrous metals. So often referred to as general cemented carbides (also called universal carbide). At present is mainly used for processing and heat resistant steel, high manganese steel, stainless steel and other hard processing material.
