Why EDM power feed contacts will wear particular seriously, when CNC high-speed wire cutting aluminum material? The reason is: when cutting an aluminum material, the surface will produce a large viscosity alumina or alumina particles, which having a very hard surface abrasive nature. It tends to adhere to electrode wire, which will lead to wearing grooves between the electrode wire and EDM power feed contacts. In the same time, larger particles pitting will stuffing the trenches which will easily blocked the machining gap, so that the electrode wire will be easy to be stuck off. In addition, the alumina particles with electrode wire and EDM power feed contacts form a spark discharge at the time of running, so that the power feed contacts will wear faster.
   For the problem of why the EDM power feed contacts will wear faster, KENOS increases the amplitude of the voltage pulse power load, lower the pulse width and increase the gap to reduce the possibility of small particles adhere o the electrode wire when processing.
