Power feed contacts is necessary materials in wire cutting , but do you what the material of power feed contacts?  In wire cutting, power feed contacts usually made of hard alloy and WC is as the main component elements. According to different element added into power feed contacts Kenos classified power feed contacts into four categories below.
 The first major categories, the material of power feed contacts: tungsten cobalt (WC + Co) Carbide (YG). This kind of wire cut power feed contacts having a higher block flexural strength and toughness , good thermal conductivity , but poor heat resistance and abrasion resistance .
The second major categories : the material of power feed contacts: tungsten titanium cobalt (WC + TiC + Co) Carbide (YT), this kind of wire cut power feed contacts hardness, wear resistance, red hardness increases, bond high temperature oxidation resistance and high temperature generated in the TiO 2, the adhesive can be reduced . But poor thermal power feed contacts , low flexural strength.
The third major categories: the material of power feed contacts: tungsten, tantalum, cobalt (WC + TaC + Co) Carbide (YA)
This kind of wire cut power feed contacts on the basis of adding YG carbide TaC (NbC), the temperature increase , the high temperature hardness and strength, thermal shock resistance and wear resistance, can be used for machining of cast iron and stainless steel.
The fourth major categories : the material of power feed contacts: tungsten, titanium , tantalum cobalt (WC + TiC + TaC + Co)) Carbide (YW)
The kinds of wire cut power feed contacts on the basis of the block on YT carbide added TaC (NbC), improving the bending strength, impact toughness, high temperature hardness , oxidation capacity and wear resistance .
